We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer (PHP, Laravel) with expertise in designing scalable systems, performance optimization, and cloud-based deployments. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background, hands-on development expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using PHP (Laravel).
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, designers, and QA engineers to implement new features and enhance existing functionality.
- Define, evolve, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure backend architectures.
- Refactor and optimize codebases for performance and maintainability.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce clean code practices, and manage technical debt.
- Provide technical insights to support product planning and roadmap execution.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience with PHP and the Laravel framework (experience with Python/Golang is a plus).
- Strong experience with MySQL/MSSQL and Redis.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (Hetzner is a plus).
- Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes for containerization.
- Experience with CI/CD tools including Git and GitHub workflows.
- Strong background in performance optimization (applications, databases, and infrastructure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on healthcare platforms or complex enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with clustered database environments.
- Experience collaborating in agile, globally distributed teams.
